Also known as Aniseed Star.
A flavour reminiscent of licorice and cloves. Aniseed star is not botanically related to aniseed seed but have identical flavours and when grounded can be used as a substitute for each other. It can be used in stewed fruit dishes, curries, Chinese dishes, soups and pork. It is one of the main ingredients used in Chinese five spice.
